NEW BOOK - Parrots of the World
We are pleased to bring you this fantastic new book which is a must have for all parrot enthusiasts. It is large, A4 size, and is 172 pages in content. For those of you who are into parrots this will surely serve as an identifation guide for years to come and is sure to become the new standard every parrot breeder will use. It covers everything from the Macaws of South America to the Cockatoos of Australia. Until now there has not been an easy to use guide that existed for all species and sub-species of these colourful birds.
 | | Parrots of the World - An Identification Guide |
Some 350 different parrot species are covered. Combined with the text is a series of beautiful illustrations by Frank Knight, and presented on 120 coloured plates through the book, all of which make the publication a visual feast. Distribution maps showing the geographical location of each species, combined with ecological and behavioural information provides abundant information about each bird.
It is not as large as the previous 'Australian Parrots' book and does not include information about avicultural situations for each bird as that book did, but is as the title indicates purely an identification guide of all parrot species. I am sure it will still be a welcome addition to the library of every aviculturist, especially parrot breeders.
